About Us

   Hello, my name is Evan Cochran. I am often asked how I got started in this industry as it is definitely a departure from the military. It all started in 2011 when I took the first puff of an electronic cigarette while aboard the USS New Orleans. During my time in the Navy I had picked up a pack a day habit, and one of my shipmates had (probably slightly against regulation) stowed away one of the original cig-a-like E-cigs.

   Over the next few years I ended up switching completely over to Vaping from smoking and began my journey of transitioning out of the military and back into civilian life. During this time I was looking to continue my healthcare career as that is what I did in the military. but was quickly met with disillusionment upon discovering that the insurance companies essentially ran the healthcare industry. Unlike military healthcare where the servicememebr's health is the priority, it was the bottom line for the insurance companies. Around this time I began researching vapor technology. What I found amazed me.

   The health implications of smoking and the death rate caused by smoking was astounding. Smoking can be attributed to 7 million deaths annually. That's 7 million people that should have lived longer, happier lives but did not due to smoking. I decided that the best way that I could improve the lives and health of people was to get them to stop smoking. Luckily I had already begun making my own E-liquid. When my friends started purchasing the E-liquid I was making, I decided to open Odysseus Vapor in 2014. 

   This is my story, but the story of Odysseus Vapor cannot be told without our amazing staff and team. Some of the staff have been here for nearly a decade and all are just as dedicated to harm reduction and this amazing technology as ever! They are the ones that helped build OV into what it is today. Their the ones who toughted it out through the many different buildouts of the storefront, to the construction of our cleanroom production faciltiy all to give you, the customer the best experaince possible.
